Whats involved with a Neff Slide & Hide
Hi, I’m Grant, Unlike many oven cleaning companies, I really enjoy the challenge of tackling the Neff ‘Slide and Hide’ oven doors. Part of the Slide & Hide mechanism is made of plastic which can be easily damaged if overzealous.
I’ll use specialist tools to disengage the door from the guide brackets, then strip down the delicate pressed aluminium struts that hold the internal glass in place. Giving me full access to the three sheets of glass, then give each one a thorough clean to both sides of each sheet of glass, removing those unsightly streaks and drips that spoil the view.
During reassembly, I may have to realign the guide bracket.
On some models, the door handle pivots. This is under tension with springs and multi-stranded steel cables. These cables can wear down and fray, eventually breaking. There is a replacement kit that costs approximately £125.00 + my fitting charge.

Total transformation!
I recently cleaned this pair of Neff Slide & Hide ovens; they had seen better days but I was up for the challenge! But to be fair, the customer is an enthusiastic amateur cook and as such, uses them every day for baking and roasting! She had a pair of them, one with the steamer function, and both were in a similar condition. She also had a Neff microwave combi to clean. If yours is in a similar condition, just allow me around 3-4hrs to complete a thorough deep clean to a high hygienic standard.
The telescopic tray rails had ceased because of contamination; they work perfectly well after a jolly good clean!
You may notice the chrome racks and side supports are not chrome but a dull copper; this is because the self-clean function was started while the chrome components were still inside! They MUST be removed as the high temperature destroys the chrome electroplating.
An oven of this condition has an understandable surcharge of £25 extra per oven to cover the extra time and specialist solutions.

For example, on models with handles that pivot, they are controlled by springs and steel multi-twisted cables. In this image, the cable has frayed and requires replacement.

I recently cleaned this NEFF Slide & Hide oven, I also removed and split the door to clean the 3 sheets of glass.
I charge extra for stripping down the slide & hide doors because they are easily damaged and don’t always behave! For example, the left-hand mechanism would not stay in place, causing it to spring back to its closed position, a common issue, so before cleaning, I spent time correcting this, resulting in the door operating as intended.
